SEC 507: Advanced Theory and Practice in Secondary Education

Attendance & Participation

This is an online course, so I track attendance through your participation: completing assignments, posting in discussions, and engaging with course materials on time. If you go seven or more days without any activity, I'll email you to check in.

No-Show Policy

If you don't participate during the first week of class, you may be reported as a no-show and dropped from the course. To confirm your enrollment, complete at least one graded activity in Week 1.

Late Work

I accept a late submission when a documented emergency has kept you from meeting the deadline, and I don't accept late work for other reasons. If you know you'll need an extension, contact me before the deadline. Either way, you'll need documentation of the emergency.

Academic Integrity

All submitted work must be your own, and assignments may be checked through Turnitin. A first offense results in a zero on the assignment, and a second offense results in an F in the course. If you're unsure whether something counts as a violation, ask before you submit.

Withdrawal

Withdrawals are processed through SeaNet, and I'd ask you to talk to your advisor before you make this decision.

Copyright

Course materials, including slides, handouts, videos, and assignments, are for use in this section during this term only. Please don't distribute, upload, or share them outside the course.
